A pantoum poem
March 2009
I taught myself to tie a noose from this 12-inch bit of nylon rope waiting for our flight to show at the dingy Athens airport From this 12-inch bit of nylon rope mind and fingers dance at the dingy Athens airport over my tiny terminal game Mind and fingers dance— Under, over, tuck wrap round over my tiny terminal game of curiosity wiling the time Under, over, tuck wrap round the noose it comes to life. A curiosity wiling the time I'm captive in that chair The noose it comes to life, tie, undo, retie, perfect again till I'm captive in that chair. My inquisitiveness delights me. Waiting for our flight to show I taught myself to tie a noose
